The Prime Foundation, is searching for projects and good causes in Worcestershire to receive grant funding of up to £13,650 with applications open now and closing Friday 4th December 2020.
Established in 2007 by Worcester based health and care property developer Prime plc, the Prime Foundation aims to invest in community projects which enhance wellbeing, distributing money as grants to local initiatives or groups. In 2019 it funded several causes in Worcester including new toys and instruments for family sessions at The Hive, sensory equipment for Worcester Snoezelen and covered costs for a community youth programme run by Worcester Community Trust.
The Prime Foundation understands that the pandemic has had a dramatic impact on many local charities and causes. It has also inspired a number of people to start new projects which enhance lives in the community or provide a much-needed lifeline to the vulnerable. As such the foundation is particularly interested to hear from groups who are looking to adapt or expand their work to provide support to people in their local area.
Hannah Cashmore from the Prime Foundation said, “Prime has donated a share of its annual profits to the Foundation and we will distribute this on their behalf to initiatives that help improve the lives of people in Worcestershire. Receiving a grant from the Foundation would be a fantastic way to start 2021. It could be used to launch a new project, support a great cause to reach an even bigger group, or help a charity to adapt its approach, to continue delivering much needed services despite the challenges of the pandemic. We look forward to reading your applications.”
The Prime Foundation is inviting applications on behalf of any project in Worcester which matches one or more of its aims which are; advancing education outside the classroom, promoting good physical and mental health and/or furthering the enhancement of social wellbeing through recreation.
