The Solent Sharks are a community wheelchair rugby club based in Southampton, offering training and competition to anyone with a permanent physical disability.
As the club’s membership continues to grow, the need for additional equipment has become increasingly important. To support this expansion, the Solent Sharks sought funding to purchase new attack and defence wheelchairs, as well as essential accessories.
The Prime Foundation awarded a full grant to the team. This allowed the club to accommodate more participants, ensuring that everyone has access to the equipment they need to train and compete effectively.
“Rugby Wheelchairs are essential and specialised equipment for our sport of Wheelchair Rugby. We’d like to thank the Prime Foundation for providing the funds for two new wheelchairs. These are currently being used to develop players through training and competition.”
